Already a week has gone by. Still enjoying Chiang Rai a lot! But we also had a chance this week to go to Chiang Mai for a real Thai wedding. It was a friend of our translator. Really cool to experience :). We've also had the change to visit our first village here. The people are so friendly and it is really nice to play with the kids. Because a lot of them work already, so it is nice for them to relax. In the meantime some of the kids in our house have arrived from their villages. They live with us on the property and we get to spend a lot of time with them doing bible study in the morning, teaching them English at night and in between they even help painting or making lunch. Real hard workers.
You can also see some pictures of queensday. Even in Thailand we are still proud to be a dutchie. We had orange food that day, painted our faces with our flag, but the funny thing was that only the foreigners thought of bringing a orange shirt.
Miranda (our pastoral visit) has arrived the second of May. We were very pleased to see her, but also because she brought mail from Heidebeek. Everybody got a stack of letters. So with this we wanna say thank you all so much for sending something and thinking of us.
Everything is going great. Coming up is visiting some more villages and hopefully finally riding a elephant! Margrets birthday is sunday, so don't forget! We will do some more teaching and having fellowship with this family.
